The DUB SIREN you could play in a browser is now real studio gear for your DAW. Two units: a siren synth you perform, and an effect that turns any track into dub.
The heart of it is the DUBWISE button on the FX unit. It never touches your dry signal — until you press it. Then the band disappears and the last phrase keeps circling in the echo. The move dub engineers pulled on the mixing desk, on one button.
INSTRUMENT
DUB SIREN — the synth
- SIREN and ZAP modes, five waveforms with PolyBLEP anti-aliasing
- Triple-LFO meta modulation — LFO2 bends the speed, LFO3 breathes the depth
- CHOP rhythmic gate, A/R envelope, CRUSH
- LFO, zap bursts, chop and delay all lock to host tempo
- MIDI: velocity, pitch bend, FX-hold notes on the C1 octave
EFFECT
DUB SIREN FX — any track becomes dub
- DUBWISE (cut the band, keep the echo), DUNGEON (sink the frozen loop into a dark filter), MELTDOWN (stop the tape entirely)
- Three spring tanks — a tight, controlled box; a murky saturated swamp that wobbles; a bright surgical ping
- Five echo styles plus SPACE: tape-echo wow, flutter and head bump
- BRAKE — tape-stop pitch dive, rewind chirp on release
- Every button writes to host automation
