KINTAMA JAMAICAN CLACKER

A 60-second sound-system edition of the deliberately ridiculous KINTAMA rhythm game. Shake, swipe or press space to collide two balls, build a combo and climb the sound-system titles.

SOUND SYSTEM PRESSURE adds synthesized bass drops and offbeat skank stabs to the collisions. Keep the combo in time, but add TAMA CHILL before the PAIN-O-METER reaches PRESSURE OUT.

When this helps

SOUND SYSTEM PRESSURE adds synthesized bass drops and offbeat skank stabs to the collisions. Keep the combo in time, but add TAMA CHILL before the PAIN-O-METER reaches PRESSURE OUT.

What this browser tool does

A 60-second sound-system edition of the deliberately ridiculous KINTAMA rhythm game. Shake, swipe or press space to collide two balls, build a combo and climb the sound-system titles.

First five steps

  1. Press 鳴らして始める (START THE SOUND) to unlock audio and request motion access.
  2. Shake the phone up and down. If motion access is unavailable, swipe vertically across the stage.
  3. On a computer, drag vertically across the stage or press the space bar repeatedly.
  4. Use the collision and skank sounds to hold one interval, then pause when the PAIN-O-METER gets high.
  5. After sixty seconds, check FINAL SCORE, BEST and your sound-system title, then run it again.

Basic controls

SHAKE / SWIPE / SPACE

Phone shaking, vertical swipes, vertical mouse drags and the space bar all create a strike. Prioritize a regular return over a very wide movement.

SCORE / COMBO

Ball collisions score points and steady consecutive collisions extend the combo. JACKPOT adds a bonus when it appears.

PAIN-O-METER

Repeated strikes raise pressure and rest lowers it. Use TAMA CHILL before the meter reaches PRESSURE OUT.

SOUND SYSTEM AUDIO

Collisions, bass drops, offbeat skank and callouts are synthesized in the browser. Begin with the device volume at a sensible level.

Practical setups

Steady skank

Use compact, regular movement and let the offbeat skank between collisions mark the tempo.

Bass-drop rush

Build combo in a short rush, then rest after the bass drop. Cool the meter before the next push.

Sound-clash score

Do not rush beyond a controllable tempo. A longer unbroken combo and pressure left for the final section usually beat one reckless burst.

Save and export

BEST SCORE is stored in localStorage when the browser allows it. The game does not export its audio as WAV. Private browsing, another browser or cleared site data may not retain the record.

What this tool does not do

  • This tool focuses on one sound or pattern task rather than final mixing.
  • Keep output level conservative before pushing feedback, drive or repeated effects.
